- 1.5 cups peach juice 4-6 medium peaches
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups ice to serve
Wash and slice peaches, no need to peel. If using frozen peaches, thaw completely. Place peaches in blender. Blend until liquid pureé.
Pour peach pureé through mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. It may take a few minutes to drain and need help by pressing with a rubber spatula.
Squeeze lemons to make one cup of juice. (It’s okay if there’s a little extra).
Add the peach juice, lemon juice, and brown sugar to a pitcher. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.
Add in vanilla and water, and stir until well mixed, then add ice to serve. Garnish with lemon or peach slices or a sprig of mint.
- This makes a light, sweet lemonade.
- For stronger peach flavor, reduce the water to 5 cups.
- For a large batch, double the ingredients for a party pitcher.
