This blackberry pear lemonade is sweet, tart, and perfectly refreshing. A fruity twist on classic lemonade made with fresh blackberries and juicy pears.
6ozsliced or lightly mashed blackberries (about 1 cup)
3cupsice
optional: 5-6 fresh mint leaves and sliced pear and lemon for garnish
Instructions
Combine water and sugar in a large pitcher.
8 cups cold water, 1 cup white granulated sugar
Add lemon juice and blended (pureéd) pears to pitcher.
1 cup fresh lemon juice , 1 can (15 oz) sliced pears
Stir in vanilla extract.
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Slice blackberries and stir into the lemonade, you can smash some to help the juices release.
6 oz sliced or lightly mashed blackberries
Garnish with lemon slices, mint leaves and add ice to serve.

Notes
To make sugar rimmed glasses: Lightly dip the trims of each glass in a shallow dish of 1-2 Tablespoons honey or agave nectar, make sure there are no drips. Then lightly dip each glass into a shallow dish of 2-3 Tablespoons white granulated sugar. The pile of sugar must be slightly wider than the glass to work. Carefully pour lemonade into glasses so the sugar doesn't dissolve.
