Quick Tomato Paste Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 4g
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder 4g
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon balsamic vinegar or 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • teaspoons Italian seasoning 1.5g
  • 1 cup water 240 mL

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
    6 oz tomato paste , 2 Tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon ground pepper, ¼ teaspoon balsamic vinegar, 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning , 1 cup water
  • Whisk together until the sauce is smooth. You can optionally simmer the sauce for 5 minutes to help the spice flavors blend.
    Can use immediately or refrigerate for up to 5 days until ready to use.

Notes

Makes enough for a 16 inch round pizza with extra sauce, or a 13x18 inch sheet pan pizza.
Store refrigerated for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 3 months in a freezer safe container.
Tip: make a double batch  to make 2 pizzas or freeze for later.
