Homemade Chicken Taco Seasoning
It's so easy to make homemade chicken taco seasoning for chicken! Classic latin spices like cumin, chili, and garlic are the base of the mix.

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 2 lb chicken about 3 medium breasts
For chicken:
Season chicken breasts on both sides.
Heat a skillet over high heat with 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil.
Place chicken in hot frying pan, and sear chicken on both sides for 3 minutes, until browned. Turn heat to low and cover, cooking for 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reads 165 ℉.
Remove from heat and rest on plate covered in foil for 5 minutes.
Slice into thin strips and use as filing for tacos, burritos, or in a Mexican style salad. Enjoy!
Tip: Double or triple the recipe to have on hand to use later.
Makes enough for 3-4 chicken breasts.
